Acknowledge the burst of grief as it breaks like waves in your heart. The dam that walls them in is made of falsehoods, myths and broken dreams. As the floodgates open the release is felt, its surge threatens to overwhelm. It dissipates and in its wake is calm. You are still here, you survive. Take down the walls of your dam so waters of grief can flow until all is spent in its own way, in its own time, but it will flow, and the surge will cease so you might sit once more in the sunshine of your soul.
